Terms & Conditions
These terms cover the use of this website and the basis on which Bath Roofing Repairs quotes for and carries out roofing work.
1. About us
This website is operated by Bath Roofing Repairs, a roofing business based in Bath, Somerset, established in 2004 and run by Luke Watts. Contact: 07735 894962 or roofingrepairsbath@gmail.com.
2. Website content
The information on this site describes the type of work we carry out and is provided for general guidance. It is not a survey, a diagnosis or a quotation for your property. Any advice specific to your roof follows an inspection. Where a detail has not been confirmed by the business, for example guarantee lengths, response times or example prices: it is marked as not provided rather than estimated.
3. Enquiries and quotations
Submitting the quote form or calling us is a request for an inspection, not a booking. A price is given only after the roof has been looked at, and is issued in writing. The price is fixed rather than a day rate.
Where something genuinely unforeseen is found once a covering is lifted, for example perished timber that could not be seen at inspection: you will be told and asked before any additional work goes ahead, and the additional cost will be agreed with you first.
4. Booking and access
Work is booked once you accept the written price. You are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property and to the roof area, and for informing us of anything that affects access, such as shared driveways, parking restrictions, neighbouring land or listed-building requirements. Access and any scaffolding requirements are assessed at inspection and included in the quotation.
5. Timescales and weather
Roofing is weather-dependent. Timescales given with a quotation are realistic estimates rather than guarantees, and work may be paused where continuing would be unsafe or would compromise the quality of the finished job. You will be kept informed if dates move.
6. Payment
Payment terms are agreed with your written quotation. Accepted payment methods have not been confirmed for publication and will be set out at the point of quoting.
7. Insurance and guarantees
We hold public liability insurance up to £1,000,000. We do not currently hold trade accreditations and make no claim to any. No workmanship or membrane guarantee length is published here because none has been confirmed for publication; any guarantee that applies to your job will be stated with your quotation.
8. Cancellation
Where you engage us as a consumer away from our business premises, you have the statutory right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing the work. If you ask us to begin within that period, which is common for leaks and emergency call-outs, you may be charged for work already carried out if you then cancel.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to putting right defective work we carried out.
10. Complaints and governing law
If something is not right, contact Luke Watts directly using the details above so it can be looked at. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
